Japan's Ambassador to Romania, Hitoshi Noda, at NTT DATA Romania’s headquarters in Cluj-Napoca

Japan's Ambassador to Romania, Hitoshi Noda, visited the headquarters of the IT company, NTT DATA Romania. Mr. Noda was welcomed by Mr. Daniel Metz - CEO NTT DATA Romania, Maria Metz - Deputy CEO NTT DATA Romania and Emi Sasaki - CTO NTT DATA Romania.

Japan's Ambassador to Romania, Hitoshi Noda, visited the headquarters of the IT company, NTT DATA Romania. Mr. Noda was welcomed by Mr. Daniel Metz - CEO NTT DATA Romania, Maria Metz - Deputy CEO NTT DATA Romania and Emi Sasaki - CTO NTT DATA Romania.

During his visit to the Cluj-Napoca headquarters, discussions were held on topics such as the history of the company since its founding in 2000, but also regarding the challenges encountered during the 19 years of activity in the IT industry.

Ambassador Hitoshi Noda, along with representatives of NTT DATA Romania, debated on the role that the organizational culture plays in identifying the company's development opportunities.

Mr. Daniel Metz - CEO NTT DATA Romania, presented also the main social responsibility projects, demonstrating the company's high attention to the community in which it operates. Thus, the collaboration with the Babeş-Bolyai University was highlighted, especially regarding the four supported study lines: "Informatics in German" at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, the master program in "Advanced Information Systems: Modeling, Designing, Development ", the Postgraduate Training Program in Computer Science, and the master program "Assistance Systems in Economic Decisions".

Apart from the educational aspects, they also discussed about the company’s contribution in sports, through collaborations with CFR 1907 Cluj Football Club, „U” NTT DATA Cluj Women Voleyball team, the Association of Table Tennis Cluj and the U18 Women Basketball team and Tengu Centre of Martial Arts.

At the end of the visit, the Embassy delegation was given a tour of the company, during which there were presented the most important ongoing projects, the recreational areas, the innovation labs and the amphiteatre where the courses of several study programs supported by the company are being held.

The representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Romania, together with the Executive Board of the company expressed their joint interest in continuing and broadening their collaboration within the Japanese – Romanian Business Association.
