Cluj-Napoca, 15 July 2021 - NTT DATA, a global digital business and IT services provider, today announced it has been named a Leader in the NelsonHall NEAT Report for Blockchain Services 2021. The company ranked in the highest of NelsonHall’s four quadrants based on its overall ability to deliver immediate benefits and serve future client requirements in the fast-growing market for blockchain services.
The report listed as a primary strength NTT DATA’s integrated vision of AI, IoT and blockchain as transformation agents that provide clients with a compelling roadmap for digital services. NelsonHall also highlighted the company’s broad array of use cases – particularly across financial services and government applications – and its eXponential Universe strategic framework’s ability to identify, develop and evaluate ideas and take them to production.
The report’s outlook for NTT DATA notes that the company’s strategy to double down on its strengths – to invest in public and government use cases and partnerships with industry consortia – will serve the company well in the future.
“To take advantage of blockchain’s potential to drive better business collaboration and process efficiency, customers need a trusted partner to lean on,” said Toshi Fujiwara, Senior Executive Vice President and Representative Director, CTO, CIO, CISO, NTT DATA. “Being named a Leader in NelsonHall’s NEAT report validates that NTT DATA has the technology infrastructure, the broad-based skills and the experience setting up secure, transparent, distributed ledger technologies to help customers strengthen their business continuity.”
NTT DATA employs most of its 500 dedicated blockchain personnel in a centralized Center of Excellence devoted to blockchain and six other technology areas, including AI, DevOps and digital design. The company’s proprietary blockchain offerings include BlockTrace, a supply chain object tracing platform; BlockTrace4Sharing, NTT DATA's sustainability platform for managing, tracking and validating food donations; StampChain, a GDPR-compliant document certification platform; and KayTrust, a framework for organizations to manage end-to-end customer identities.
The report showcases initiatives NTT DATA is taking to evolve its approach to cloud services to support hybrid multi-cloud environments. These initiatives include investments in the company’s Nucleus Cloud Management Program, focus on cloud-native use cases, enhanced security capabilities and development of skill sets across hybrid multi-cloud.
Bailey Kong, Research Analyst with NelsonHall’s Digital Transformation Technologies & Services practice, said “NTT DATA is experienced in delivering solutions using a breadth of blockchain platforms that provides clients with best-in-class solutions to meet their precise business requirements. NTT DATA’s significant experience, coupled with its global delivery capability and broad portfolio of use case applications, demonstrates the capabilities of an overall leader in blockchain services with commitment, expertise, and ongoing investment to deliver on its vision of blockchain as a transformative agent alongside AI and IoT.”
According to the NelsonHall report, the global market for blockchain services stood at $496 million in 2020 and is expected to post compounded average annual growth rates of 53.3% through 2025. While North America and Europe have the largest markets for blockchain implementation and management, NelsonHall projects Asia Pacific to grow the fastest over the next five years. The largest portion of NTT DATA’s blockchain engagements are in Europe and Asia Pacific.
