NTT DATA Center Sibiu, the new office building of NTT DATA Romania, located in the Trei Stejari area, represents a continuation of our company’s mission to deliver innovation and actively contribute to the creation of the future through a visionary approach. By 2006, NTT DATA Romania had already opened its first Romanian branch in Sibiu, employing the second largest team, after Cluj-Napoca.
Involving an investment by the developer and investors amounting to over EUR 11 million, the space now occupied by the Japanese company has a surface area of 10,000 sqm, spanning 9 stories, and boasts an impressive 325 parking spots.
When the company acquired the Trei Stejari complex, formerly one of Sibiu’s important landmarks, the building was in an advanced state of deterioration, devaluing the appearance of the surrounding area. The refurbished building resulted in the area sanitation, which had fallen into disrepair for many years, and restored the value of the entire area.
The building was designed to serve as a multifunctional environment, suitable for interaction, to accommodate both internal and external events – it includes an auditorium, lecture halls for students, and an 800-square-meter gym for the team members as well as for people outside the company.
As such, the new space preserves the ”Into the Future” design concept, which is featured nationwide across the entire network of NTT DATA offices in Romania – a concept which, in this case, has been adapted to our team in Sibiu to suit its specific personality, needs, and expectations.

We are talking about a complex, comfortable and modern space created for our colleagues who choose to use the office area when needed. By applying the “shared desk” concept, they have the option to book their workspace. This investment reinforces the ongoing trend of expanding the branch and continuously diversifying the project portfolio and, essentially, the team, which we expect to grow to 400 colleagues over the next few years”, said Cantemir Mihu – CTO NTT DATA Romania.
Undoubtedly, NTT DATA Center Sibiu, which provides an important social and economic boost to the area, will shortly become one of the well-known addresses in Sibiu and will contribute to the urban image of the city, generating added value, jobs, and opportunities for professional training and development in the IT industry for many young people.
In the new context of the hybrid work model, the company’s management considers that an integrated approach focused on people and their current needs is the one that will determine the mode of operation and the work model in the future, balancing the efficiency of work from home with the benefits of social interaction.
