Universities across the country join NTT DATA Romania's "PEX - Pursuing EXcellence" program
Six universities have already signed the partnership agreements and two others are in the process of signing.
The cooperation between the university and business environments represents the foundation that ensures the project development. We are glad that the educational institutions have shown their openness to contribute to the consolidation of our partnership through their involvement in this project.
Six universities have already signed the partnership agreements are in the process of signing them. Babes-Bolyai University, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Transilvania University of Brasov, Politehnica University Timisoara and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi are already on the list with the academia part of the project.
Out of the desire to invest in the future, we decided to offer the students, through this program as well, real perspectives in gaining practical experience that is so necessary for a good integration in the labor market. We all want a thriving community where performance is an essential value in which human resources' competencies and skills remain high. The key to success is largely represented by the trust we place in young people and the partnership with academia.
Over 100 students will carry out the internship in "PEX", 30 of them have already begun the activity alongside the company's tutors. The project's general objective is to increase the participation rate of students in on-the-job learning programs to facilitate their integration into the labor market after graduation.
"An important component of the "PEX – Pursuing EXcellence" project is to provide and then integrate the feedback received from students, academia and business environment, thus creating a cooperation environment meant to accommodate the needs of all. This cooperation is primarily beneficial for students, it facilitates their subsequent integration into a specific industry and it follows a working model that allows them to connect to the reality of the economic environment and labor market before completing their studies, thus allowing them to make informed choices about the field they intend to better themselves."
NTT DATA Romania, as beneficiary, is implementing the "PEX – Pursuing EXcellence" project, MySMIS 131587, contract no. POCU/626/6/13/131587, project co-financed from the European Social Fund through Human Capital Operational Program 2014-2020. The project takes place between 29.09.2020-28.09.2022 at the NTT DATA Romania offices in Brasov, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Sibiu and Timisoara.
The project's total value is 4.121.079,20 RON, of which 3.915.020,65 RON co-financed from the European Social Fund.
